SUNDAY WORK AROUND THE HOUSE
Dear Jackie,
What a lovely weekend. Friday and Saturday I spent at fabulous parties and soirees, but today I decided to stay at home and do some work around the house. A bit of gardening and systematizing my ivory cutlery etc. I also decided to build a new wing to my house to to fit my new gym, so I asked Roberto to come over- he did a great job.
You should come over and try my Cross-trainer, it works magic on the calf muscles. So does Roberto,

FRIDAY TREAT (Algonquin Style)
Algonquin Cocktail
1 measure Pineapple Juice
1 measure Dry Vermouth
3 measures Rye Whiskey
Cherry
Ice
Put your Martini glass in the freezer for 10 min.
Ice and liquids in the cocktail shaker to be stirred until frothy.
Strain into chilled martini glass.
Add cherry with Jackie Collins Cupcake stirrer.
Vuala. Swiftly drink three well deserved sips.

NO PAIN NO GAIN!!
Dear Jackie,
Have you been doing your 10 minute daily exercises?
I was feeling a little sluggish, bored, and plain old tiresome when I realized it had been almost one whole week since I did my daily work out regiment. So I busted out the old leg warmers and I popped in my favorite Jane Fonda VHS to make up for lost time.
Don't stop til you drop! No pain no gain!!
p.s. I have found that its very helpful to listen to some upbeat music while doing the daily regiment. I personally like Soft Cell's Sex Dwarf.

Dear Jackie,
You looked fabulous at the book launch of 'Classy' last night darling. Obviously Derek Blasberg had you in mind when writing his book "Classy: Exceptional Advice For the Extremely Modern Lady." Everyone knows that you invented the term Classy! And that you are an Extremely Modern Lady!
I also had a chat with Barneys' creative director (and author, and TV personality) Simon Doonan at the party who said : "I told Derek to channel Jackie Collins - Just sit behind that desk, sign copies of the book, and channel Jackie Collins."
Very wise words from him....

Latest on the Joaquin Phoenix front is that he has officially given up his hobo rapper career and has gone to take his dogs for a walk, so to speak.

Dear Jackie,
Remember when Joan Rivers appeared in your adaptation of Lady Boss where she is discussing "the environment" while having a three-martini lunch, and Donald Trump interrupts to ask "What are you two cooking up"? I just love the way her white fingernails match her pearly whites and her pearly jewelry. Its like pearl heaven! Do you think they're real?
Joan is the ultimate snarky bitch and she has been playing that game for 75 years. Someone made a tribute to her and its about time. Lets call it- A Piece of Work. When it comes to a theater nearby, Jackie, want to go see it with me?
