Dear Jackie,
Yinka Shonibare thought my print "I Heart Jackie Collins," was a great inclusion in his first installment of Yinka's Guest Editions. I was one of five artists he chose to be part of the collection. The other four artists are Douglas Fishbone, Bob & Roberta Smith, Mary Jacoob, and Bjorn Veno. The complete collection is an edition of 25, and on sale online or at Yinka Shonibare's Guest Project space in East London. Do you want one of my prints? I will be sure to send you an artist's proof. I think you will love it. It's rather lusciously printed on glossy metallic paper as if it came straight out of a heavenly magazine. I do hope you hang it in your gorgeous home.
Mwah!

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL, IS JOAN COLLINS THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL?
Dear Jackie,
Remember when you made Joan Collins' career a success with her leading roles in The Stud & The Bitch? I'm sure every time she looks in the mirror, she thinks, "Thanks, Jackie"! When Joan is wearing her famous towel turban in The Bitch, it reminds me of the evil Queen in Snow White.
I made this collage of Joan's face on a watch face as a tribute to Joan's timeless beauty because it seems as though no time has passed.
"Thanks, Jackie!"

ROCK & ROLL (CRAVAT HUNK) MICK JAGGER INSPIRED JACKIE COLLINS
Jackie Collins pontificates about The Stud:
Sarah Baker: Tony Blake, The Stud, is a highly sexualized character. Tell us about this sexualized male character in relation to popular culture...
Jackie Collins: I know. Well, he was based on a real life character that ran a discothèque that my husband owned. And that’s what happened, I mean, the women would come in and discuss him like a piece of meat. He was actually having an affair with a very young girl and there was the older woman and I observed the whole thing. He’s an interesting character to write about because- don’t forget, The Stud came out 1969 or 1970 so it was the end of the 60s, the end of an era. The Stud was the guy that women really went after as opposed to guys going after women. It was the time of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Everybody was just becoming famous, the swinging 60s of London.

LADY BOSS WEEK- INTERVIEW WITH JACKIE COLLINS
Dear Jackie,
Remember when I interviewed you at the Indian casino? Well you can now read the interview online HERE! Isnt that SO exciting?!
Im sure you remember me- I was the lady who came storming into your office with a few magazines under my arm insisting on interviewing you. It was impossible to set up with your assistants and publicists and publishers and PAs and PRs so I though I would just go straight to the source, since that's what Lucky Santangelo would do.
In honor of this historical moment in time, Dawn and I decided that the whole week on Dear Jackie, will be inspired by Lady Boss.
I hope that you love the interview as much as I do!

WHITE WEDDING
Dear Jackie,
Remember when I was telling you about the magazine who is publishing my wedding photos? You know my wedding a.k.a. the happiest day of my life? The photos are now available for the everyone look at. The magazine was originally going to give me 30 pages, but they had to include a Rankin feature and Bishi and Flaming Lips so I only got 10 pages. Can you believe that? You can view the complete magazine by clicking here

Dawan says:
"So beautiful
My heart is candy when I look at it
So sweet
And pretty"
Or you can see my layout here...

2009 WEDDING FABULOUS
Dear Jackie,
I spent the last few days sorting through my wedding photos for a magazine feature. I think that my wedding photos would be perfect in a slick magazine spread, don't you? It was such a fabulous wedding so of course I found some really great photos. My husband and I got married in a cinema- so we screened a movie which we made especially for the event which was fun to watch instead of some long boring ceremony! Then we took our guests to the place where we first fell in love in San Francisco- Baker Beach- with a really great view of the Golden Gate bridge. But really it was all about the dress!
Sincerely,
Sarah

STUD NIGHT
Dear Jackie,
These are just a few snapshots from "Stud Night: Jackie Collins Fan Club" evening in London where I invited some of my friends, many of which are already avid Jackie Collins readers, to watch a private screening of The Stud and I read a passage from your novel The Stud and we drank martinis and ate Jackie Collins cupcakes and now you have some new fans. Don't you just love that!!
